Acoustic and Spoken Word Stage Announcement

14th-16th June 2013

Hey up lovelies!!

Did you know it’s less than 8 weeks to this year’s Ravenstonedale Festival?
Well it is, so you better get them tassle tops, shades and dancing shoes at the ready!
We think it’s high time we shared the acoustic line up so without further ado I present to you the acoustic line up so far…more acts TBA!

Pizza Sluts to Host Ravenstonedale Acoustic and Spoken Word Stage

Confirmed acts include…

Rory Connor
Rory Connor is a Singer-Songwriter from Alston, Cumbria. He had been a prominent figure on the music scene in Cumbria and further afield for several years and has gained a large following through venues and festivals alike. He is a member of the reunited line-up of Folk band Tarras who played last year’s Ravenstonedale festival.
He released his Solo Album in 2010 to critical acclaim and received such praise as the following; ''One of the most promising contemporary song writers in Britain today” Archie Fisher,' BBC Radio Scotland.
'A refreshingly original voice' Bob Harris BBC Radio 2
'Stands his ground alongside the likes of David Gray, Damien Rice and James Morrison' **** R2 Rock & Reel

Christian Moss
Christian originates from Greater Manchester and has been song-writing since “accidentally” starting in 1996. He delivers melodic, rock-tinged, alternative acoustic songs with hearty vocals and a vibrant ‘no-nonsense’ guitar style.
In February 2013, Christian performed live on Radio Cumbria as part of the “BBC Introducing” series. He is currently working on the follow-up to his “Miscast Rhinos” EP, and has festival dates lined up for Germany and the UK this summer.

Miss P
Miss P is a performance poet from Lancaster who writes loosely autobiographical, often funny, sometimes tragic, rhymes (and rants) about life and those that live it.
Miss P can regularly be found performing throughout the North West, and sometimes further afield. She has read her work everywhere from festivals and birthday parties to literary events and punk gigs.
Miss P looks forward to returning to Ravenstonedale after last year’s brilliant gig in the beer tent, but hopes the weather is a bit less shit!

Ham Fisted Linguists
Ham-Fisted Linguists are a satirical spoken word outfit, each poet more northern than the last. Be it based in reality, be it hyperbolic, it be meant... or at least it's meant to be.
